US point-of-sale (POS) solutions provider Harbortouch is set to establish a product creation and development unit in Vilnius. Harbortouch plans to create around 60 IT jobs in what will be its first unit outside the US. The size of the investment is not being disclosed. More

A fox brought good fortune to illustrator Aušra Kiudulaitė

Artist and book illustrator Aušra Kiudulaitė recently received good news: her work was chosen for the main illustrators’ exhibition at the Bologna (Italy) book fair, which will be held 3-6 April this year. In October of last year, Kiudulaitė submitted her illustrations for Evelina Daciūtė’s book Laimė yra lapė (Tikra knyga, 2016) to the competition. Over all, more than 3,000 illustrators from around the world participated in the competition. More

 

An exhibition with 115 Lithuanian book authors translated into 33 different languages around the world

To complement the theme of the 2017 Vilnius Book Fair – Lithuanian Symbols Around The World – the Lithuanian Culture Institute worked with the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania to hold an exhibition on Lithuanian literary translation called “Lithuanian Books Around The World.” The exhibition featured 115 books by Lithuanian authors published in 33 languages in countries around the world. More
