Lithuania's accommodation industry posts 8.6% y-o-y rise in Q1 guest numbers
According to Statistics Lithuania, in I quarter 2017, the country’s accommodation establishments received 509.8 thousand guests, or by 8.6% more than in the same quarter of 2016. Compared to the same period of 2016, the number of overnight stays grew by 7%. One guest stayed in an accommodation establishment for, on average, 2.3 nights. More

Shelves in The United Kingdom, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Russia will soon carry sixteen works by Lithuanian authors. Foreign publishers submit application to the Translation Grant Programme being run by the Lithuanian Culture Institute when they become interested in the opportunity to present their readers a piece of work from Lithuania. A cooperation agreement between the film Polish Institute and the Lithuanian Film Centre

“Together Forever” - a film by a young Lithuanian director Lina Lužytė debuts at EU Film festival in Japan
The 15th international film festival "EU FILM DAYS" in Japan will be opened on the 26th of May, 2017 in Tokyo. Lithuanian Embassy in Japan will present the newest works of the Lithuanian authors. This time 25 European countries will be participating at the festival. This time Lithuania will be represented by the film “Together Forever” which was directed by a young Lithuanian movie director Lina Lužytė, who also wrote an intriguing scenario for the film. Lina Lužytė will present “Together Forever” during its premiere on the 27th of May. More
