Lithuania launching campaign Pledge for Lithuania

The campaign Pledge for Lithuania has been launched in Lithuania on Wednesday, with a possibility for anyone to write his pledge in a dedicated book. "Anyone willing to make a pledge for the next century, tell what his life is now and what he expects the future to bring or what he can do for Lithuania – everyone will be able to sign the book. It is of unlimited size, we are willing to bind all of the pledges," Parliamentary Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis told the national television LRT on Wednesday morning. More

Swedish ROL Group to invest EUR 11.9 million in robotized plant in Šiauliai

ROL/Statga, the Swedish-capital manufacturer of adjustable height tables, is expanding its production capacities in Šiauliai. The company has completed the construction of a new factory and begun the installation of a robotized table production line. European Commission approves Nordea and DNB plans to enter into a merger in the Baltics

The European Commission approved unconditionally the creation of a joint venture between Nordea Bank AB and DNB Bank ASA, in the Baltic States. The “Gloria Lietuvai” Project will Encourage Listening to the History of Lithuania

To celebrate the Centennial of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania, the “Gloria Lietuvai” project will encourage to remember the bells of Lithuania, a symbol of the nation’s freedom and rebirth. “Destination – America” expedition is on the road to the US

On 18 September, the “Destination – America” team embarked on the expedition to search for Lithuanian cultural heritage locations and to create an interactive map. Volunteers who will spend 16 days in the Northeastern USA will describe Lithuanian locations, listen to the tales of local Lithuanians, and publish all of this online. More
